Five workers killed in suspension bridge construction accident in Ropla

Five workers lost their lives when the supporting wall of a suspension bridge under construction collapsed in Bahiri Gam, Sunchhahari Rural Municipality-3, this morning. The accident occurred at approximately 9:45 AM.

The deceased have been identified as Dujman Pariya (45), Om Pariya (31), Subitra Pariyar (40), Aiti Pariyar (27), and Devi Ram Pariyar (66).

All of the victims were local workers involved in the construction efforts.

Two other workers on-site were able to escape without injury.

Following the incident, a team from the Sulichaur Area Police Office was deployed to the site for rescue operations and investigation.

The new bridge is intended to connect Maulabang and Bahiri Gam.
