The CEO of Gatesway International Pvt. Ltd. has been arrested for allegedly defrauding 115 people of Rs 28 million by promising to send them to Japan for employment.
Police arrested 29-year-old Pratik Budhathoki of Changathali, Mahalaxmi Municipality-7, Lalitpur, in Butwal on August 10 based on an arrest warrant issued by the Department of Foreign Employment.
Budhathoki allegedly collected a total of Rs 28 million from 115 people through Gatesway International, promising to facilitate their employment in Japan. Further investigation into the case of alleged foreign employment fraud is underway.
