Dr Sambriddhi Kharel, a sociologist and an independent researcher, holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her dissertation examined the dialectics of identity and resistance among Dalits in Nepal. She completed her master’s degree in sociology and obtained a women’s studies certificate from University of Louisville, USA. Her research interests lie in understanding social inequalities and agency through the intersectionality paradigm, i.e., the dynamic interaction of caste, class, race, ethnicity, gender, and region. She has also taught sociology and gender courses at Pokhara University, Tribhuvan University, and Nepa School of Social Sciences and Humanities. She mostly undertakes projects related to social inequalities as an independent Gender and Social Inclusion consultant. She has published in peer-reviewed journals.
