Sadhana BK holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from St. Xavier’s College, Kathmandu, affilited to Kathmandu University where she actively engaged in academic research and field-based initiatives. Her research has particularly focused on the challenges Dalit youth face and their coping strategies. Beyond academia, Sadhana has various experiences working with marginalised communities. She has interned at organisations like Swatantrata Abhiyan NepalCPCS International and Aama Ghar dedicated to child protection, street children’s welfare, and advocacy against child labour. She has also led various community programmes, including rural immersion camps and social work initiatives.

In recognition of her social and environmental responsibility, Sadhana received the Fr. Charles A. Law, S.J. Memorial Award for Excellence in Social and Environmental Responsibility from St. Xavier’s College. Her work continues to focus on evidence-based research for development and social change.
