Making sense of diversity in agrarian and rural change outcomes of labor out-migration through comparative analysis: First lessons from China, Ethiopia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Morocco, Nepal and Thailand

The paper discusses the preliminary findings of a qualitative comparative analysis of 19 rural regions in seven countries (China, Ethiopia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Morocco, Nepal and Thailand), pursued under the AGRUMIG research project, to understand the role of labor out-migration in agrarian-rural change.
