Call for participation in
Job Creation and Competence Building Research Workshop 2025
29-30 April 2025 | Kathmandu, Nepal
Organised by the Centre for the Study of Labour and Mobility (CESLAM) at Social Science Baha and Chr. Michelsen Institute (CMI), Bergen, Norway, in Kathmandu on 29-30 April 2025, the workshop will feature papers and presentations covering various aspects of labour markets, including job creation, skill development, informal employment, social protection and entrepreneurship development, in Nepal and countries in Africa and Europe.
A limited number of seats are still available to the general audience (non-paper presenters) for participation in the workshop. Anyone is eligible to apply, although the workshop would be most useful to policy-makers, early-career researchers as well as graduate students.
In order to apply, please send the following documents to [email protected] by 19 April 2025:
- A brief statement about yourself and why you are interested in this workshop (100-200 words).
- A one-page CV with education background and relevant experience.
Applicants will be notified of the decision on their selection by 22 April 2025.
Selected participants will be required to pay a refundable deposit of NPR 1000 to confirm their place at the workshop. (Details on how the payment is to be made will be shared with selected candidates.) The deposit will be returned to the participants following their attendance on both days of the workshop.
