KATHMANDU, June 26: Three more Nepali citizens have been rescued from Iran with the Indian government’s assistance. They arrived in New Delhi alongside 272 Indian nationals, according to the Indian government.

India’s Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated on social media platform X that the special flight landed in Delhi at 12:01 AM Indian time. Earlier, six Nepali nationals had been rescued from Iran with Indian support.

As tensions escalate between Israel, the US and Iran, the issue of evacuating Nepali citizens from Iran has become a challenging task. Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba had earlier requested India’s help to rescue Nepali nationals stranded in Iran.
