Saying that refugees particularly Bhutanese and Tibetans had created socio-economic challenges for Nepal, Professor Mohan Lohani urged the government to come up with a clear national policy and legal framework to deal with the refugee issue in Nepal.
Presenting a paper at the concluding session of a seminar on ‘refugees in South Asia’ today, Professor Lohoni cited the difficulties in maintaining law and order at the camps of Bhutanese refugee in eastern Nepal.
