Minister for Youth, Labour and Employment, Ramji Yadav, has said the issues of foreign employment and domestic employment should be taken together.
Minister Yadav said it during a programme organized in the Gajendra Narayan Singh Industrial Estate located at Rupani Rural Municipality-5, Saptari on Friday. The event was organized to create awareness on professional safety and health among the industry workers.
“There are a lot of areas like creation of employments at home which deserve attention,” he said, adding that the employers and workers are complementary, so in addition to overseas job, we should work for creating employments at home. The nation becomes self-reliant and strong once we have adequate jobs here, according to him.
The Minister informed workers that they could visit a help desk set up at the District Administration Office, Saptari to get their complaints, if any, heard and addressed. “Some job aspirants become victims due to deception by the foreign employment agents. Though the employment frauds have declined, the law relating to foreign employment is being amended and digital system installed,” he informed.
The programme was attended by workers, local intellects, local level people’s representatives, chief district officer and chief of district police office, among others.
