18-plus Gurkhas to get UK visa

22 Jan, 2013

A British court on Monday ordered to the UK government to grant residential visas to the exGurkhas servicemen’s children of over 18 years age. As of now, only those children of the ex-servicemen below 18 years age have been getting the facility of residential visa. Ho & Co Solicitor’s Law Firm had filed a petition on behalf of Gurkha Army Ex-servicemen’s Organisation (EAESO). The single bench of presiding judge Lord Daryson of the Court of Appeal, Master’s of the Rolls gave this verdict. GAESO welcomed the verdict issuing a statement. “It’s not only the triumph of exGurkhas, but all of Nepalis,“ read the statement. –HNS
