No work permit on manual passport

People planning to go abroad for employment must have machine-readable passports from May. The Department of Foreign Employment says that starting May 15, no work permit will be issued to those carrying handwritten passports. The decision comes in view of the approaching deadline of the International Civil Aviation Organisation to complete the phase out process of the non-machine-readable passports globally.
