'Wait and watch for Israeli jobs'

Department of Foreign Employment has urged people to wait and watch current development in Israeli job market. Israel has not yet opened its market, so people should not contact outsourcing agencies and deposit money, department said in a public notice. Government is exploring a new hiring procedure for Israel but noth ing has been finalised yet, said director general at the department Purnachandra Bhattarai. People must wait and watch the developments, he added. Israel is a preferred job market for Nepali women where they work as caregivers.

About 7,500 Nepalis are working in Israel. It closed its door to Nepali women in April, 2010
