Victim migrants can work in Malaysia'

Malaysian government has decided to grant work permit to victims of trafficking and exploitation, official news agency Bernama reported on Friday.

According to the report, the Home Ministry announced a new policy that will allow migrants who are victims of traf ficking and labour exploitation and have been placed in shelter homes to take up employment in Malaysia upon their release. However, in current procedure, the victims would be sent back to their country of origin upon their release from the shelter homes.-HNS
