Two Nepalis die in road accident in South Korea

Two Nepali migrant workers died in a road accident in South Korea on Sunday. The deceased have been identified as Bhimsen KC of Biruwa Archale-6 in Syangja and Ram Bahadur Sinjali of Sunwal in Nawalparasi. The accident occurred at 6:10pm local time in Gyeongsang province.

A Nepali worker in the country informed that the two were headed for Oksan Park to bid farewell to their friends before returning back to Nepal, when the motorcycle they were riding lost control and crashed near the park. Their families have been informed, said the worker.

The duo working for the same company had just completed their first tenure under the South Korean Employment Permit System (EPS). KC had taken a refugee visa while Sinjali was staying there illegally after both their visas expired. The body of KC was kept at Samsung Hospital and Sinjali’s body has been kept at Cha Myong Hospital.

Local police have sent a copy of the preliminary report of the incident to Nepali Embassy in Seoul. Embassy official Raja Ram Bartaula said that the cause of the accident would be known only after a detailed report of the incident is sent to them.
