Qatari govt grants amnesty to 21 Nepalis

The government of Qatar has granted amnesty to 21 Nepali nationals serving prison terms under various charges. The government here also waived the fine amounting 200,000 Riyal (around Rs 5.6 million) of two Nepali doing time at Qatar i jail after being convicted of drug trafficking.
 
Qatar ’s Seikh Tamim Bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani granted the mass amnesty on the occasion of Eid.
 
According to spokesperson of the Nepali Embassy, Nitish Sapkota, the amnesty receivers are Samim Ansari, Dal Bahadur Bishwokarma, Rafil Mohammed Duniya, Tapeshwor Barhi, Arshad Kenti, Prem Sundas Darji, Mohan Bahadur Baniya, Yubaraj Khada, Santa Kumar Rai, Dinesh karki, Raj Kumar Rai, Mohan Limbu, Guna Hari Pun, Kamal Kumar KC, Dilliram Bhandari, Adiraj BK, Suman Pun Sarendra Ghimire, Ram Prasad Chaudhary along with Ganesh Bahadur and Achyut Desai who were pardoned Rs 5.6 million fine.
 
The pardoned convicts will be deported to Nepal after necessary paperwork, informed Sapkota.
