Nepalis in Lebanon fear for lives

In the wake of bomb attacks in Lebanon’s northern city of Tripoli on Friday that left at least 42 people dead and more than 400 wounded, Nepali workers working in the Middle East country are fearing for their lives. Vice-chairman of Non-Resident Nepali Association in Lebanon Nanduraj Kafle said they are living in constant fear as attacks are being carried out one after another here.  Sunita Kafle, a Nepali woman who works as a housemaid in Lebanon, said she is fearing for her safety after a fresh outbreak of attacks as the situation of Lebanon is deteriorating day by day. It is estimated that around 9,500 Nepali people, most of them women, are working there.
