‘Nepalis are hard workers’

Ambassador of South Korea to Nepal Il-Doo Kim has said that Nepalis are hard workers and honest.

Speaking at a function organised by Nepal-Korea (South) Cooperation Council (NKCC) in Lalitpur on Monday, Kim said Nepali and South Korean people share many similarities and more South Korean support for Nepal’s development is within the realms of possibility.

Saying that an increasing number of Korean people are visiting Nepal, he said that the growing trade, economic and labour relations is bringing the two countries closer. Korean companies are on their mettle to invest in Nepal’s hydropower sector, he said. The envoy also expressed hope that the ongoing peace process and constitution drafting will reach a conclusion on time.

At the same programme, President of NKCC Arun Ranjit underlined the need for increased people-to-people contacts between Nepal and South Korea.

On the occasion, Ambassador Kim honoured three persons for their contributions to promote Nepal-South Korea relations.
