Nepali workers in Malaysia released

The nine Nepali workers taken under control by the Malaysian police in connection with the incident took place at Joharbaru of Malaysia some days back have been freed.

They were released late Friday night, the Embassy of Nepal in Kuala Lumpur stated. They were released as they did not have any kind of involvement in that incident, the Embassy cited the Malaysian authorities. 

As per the information given out by Chakra Subedi, Second Secretary at the Nepalese Embassy, those released Nepali workers are Rajesh Raya Yadav, Ramesh Bahadur Bhujel, Santosh Poudel, Aman Gupta, Dal Bahadur Bayambu, Nilkantha Jaisi, Pawan Shah, Ragun Rai and Manoj Sunar.

They were released late Friday night, Subedi said. Although they were injured in the clash between two groups of workers at a hostel in Jaoharbaru, they were detained by the Malaysian police. The Malysian police is also learnt to have asked for forgiveness with the Nepali citizens for any savage treatment in course of the investigation.
