A Nepali woman has reportedly committed suicide in Kuwait jail . A Kuwait based news portal, Arabtimes online, reported that the 35-year-old Nepali inmate committed suicide inside the detention center for women at the Central Jail in Sulaibiya, where she was doing her time.

However, the reason behind the jail sentence and the duration of the sentence has not been reported. Paramedics rushed to the location immediately after receiving information about the incident.  Her remains have been referred to Forensics.

The online portal reported that the Kuwait police has been investigating the suicide to determine the actual circumstances which may have prompted the woman to take her own life. Her name has not been disclosed.
