Nepali migrant workers rescued

The Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi, UAE, has sent back 28 Nepali migrant workers who had been taking shelter at the embassy after their employer failed to pay them their salaries for a long time. According to an embassy statement, UAE-based Royal Falcon Security Company had hired the Nepalis for security guard jobs through Nepal-based Sivakoti Manpower. After their employer failed to pay them their salaries, the Nepalis stayed at the embassy from September 20 to October 2. Before the migrants were sent back home, in two phases on October 7 and 8, the embassy made a field visit to the company and ensured that all their salary dues were cleared, the statement read. The embassy has also recommended necessary action against the manpower company. - HNS.
