Monitoring of border pillars starts

A technical team deployed from the Department of Survey has started monitoring of border pillars after 17 border pillars lost from Rautahat district.  The team started onsite monitoring of big pillars (jange pillars), medium pillars and small pillars, lost from 26 kilometers border area of district, through GPS technology. 

The team comprising engineer at the Department, Sanjeev Kumar Raut, supervisor Uday Sherpa Limbu, engineer of the Urban Development and Building Construction Office, Parsa, Bhagawan Gupta, and police personnel of the Armed Police Force started monitoring of border pillars west from Bagmati river. 

It has monitored 21 border pillars of Gaur Municipality, Banjaraha, Auraiya, Rampur Khap, Jokaka, Brahmapur, Laxmipur, Belbichawa, and Matiya VDCs so far. Out of 157 border pillars in the district, now there are only 140 pillars.

Chief District Office of Rautaht, Dil Bahadur Ghimire, said that the team started monitoring the border pillars after they informed the Department of Survey and Home Ministry about it time and again.
