Migrant workers set free

The nine Nepali migrant workers, who were arrested following a deadly clash in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, on March 25, were released from police custody on Friday. Aman Gupta, Santosh Poudel, Manoj Sunar, Ramesh Bahadur Bhujel, Rakam Rai, Nil Kantha Jaisi, Rakesh Yadav, Dal Bahadur Bambo and Pawan Sah, who were detained on the charge of hooliganism, were released without any precondition, said Chakra Subedi, an official at the Embassy of Nepal in Malaysia. The incident took place after a dispute among Nepali migrant workers, where one group backed by a Malaysian armed gang attacked the other.
