Four Nepali migrant workers die in Kuwait

Three Nepali migrant workers died in a road accident while another was killed in a separate incident in Kuwait. Nepali Ambassador to Kuwait Madhuwan Poudel said that three Nepali workers were killed and one more sustained injuries when a speeding vehicle hit them while crossing the road on the Arabian Gulf Street on July 30.

The deceased have been identified as Bishnu Bahadur Mashrarangi of Madanpokhara in Palpa, Jharendra Prasad Acharya of Khudunabari in Jhapa and Bhupal Oli of Purandhara in Dang. Bir Bahadur Gaha of Purandhara is undergoing treatment at a local hospital, said Poudel.

The embassy is said to have informed the Foreign Ministry in Kathmandu about the incident. He said the process of sending the bodies to Nepal had been initiated. The embassy is expected to take necessary steps to provide compensation to the victims’ families.

Meanwhile, Lal Babu Yadav from Mahottari, who had been working as domestic help, was murdered on Friday. A Sudanese national, another worker at the house where Yadav worked, was held in connection with the murder. The Sudanese national is believed to have killed Yadav following a heated argument when nobody else was home.
