Forgers remanded

The Kathmandu District Court on Friday remanded 14 people — nine Myanmarese and four Bangladeshi nationals, and a Nepali — to a seven-day judicial custody for further investigation into their involvement in forging Nepali citizenship certificates and Machine Readable Passports (MRPs). On Thursday, police had arrested them at Sinamangal with fake citizenship certificates and MRPs. Police said they have launched an investigation as to how foreigners managed to obtain Nepali official documents.
