A Sexagenarian Of Bajura Loses Job In India Due To Lockdown, Comes Home And Dies In Quarantine

Bajura, June 8: A 65-year old male of Chhededaha Rural Municipality-7 who died on Saturday, June 6, in the quarantine set up in Masta Basic School of Khaptad Chhededaha-7 was found free of infection of SARS-CoV-2 that causes COVID-19.

Daya Krishna Panta, senior public health officer at Bajura district health office, said that PCR report of the swab test of the sexagenarian and two others who were staying with him had come out negative.

Following the death of the old man, his swab and the swabs of the two other persons accompanying him were collected and sent to Dhangadhi for the test.

Nar Bahadur Rawat, chairman of Chhededaha Rural Municipality, said that the deceased was an asthmatic patient and he had been living in India for a long time. He had returned home from India through Jhulaghat border point as he lost his job in India due to COVID-19 pandemic and the terror it created. He had been staying in the quarantine since May 29.
