The Malaysian government has announced amnesty to illegal workers giving the time to leave the country before October 31.

Malaysian Home Ministry has taken the decision on Friday to provide safe passage to illegal migrant workers. Thousands of Nepalis expected to benefit from the amnesty, press statement of Nepali embassy in Kuala Lumpur. The embassy has urged illegal Nepali workers to leave the country as soon as possible. According to the embassy, about 2,100 Nepalis have taken travel documents in last three months.
