Kuwait changes visa policy

The Kuwait government has introduced a new visa policy, which will not allow people visiting Kuwait on business or tourist visas to work.

Nepali Ambassador to Kuwait Madhuban Paudyal said, “No working visas will be provided to the visitors who trip to Kuwait on business or tourist visas.” Over 55,000 Nepalis work and live in the Gulf country of which 90 percent are women. Paudyal said the new rule would benefit the Nepali workers as many Nepalis are left in lurch mainly because they arrive here on tourist or business visa.
