EPS calls for job listing

Employment Permit System (EPS), under Department of Foreign Employment has called applications for South Korean job in agriculture and livestock sectors. EPS Nepal has got 4,375 quotas in these sectors for 2011. Youth who have shown interest in agriculture and livestock sector job should registered themselves in EPS Nepal office, director Mahesh Acharya said. According to him, people who have got 78-82 per cent marks in Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) are eligible for agriculture and livestock sectors jobs. 

EPS Nepal is planning to call job application and their medical check up after their registration. Job application will be distributed to them in next few days, Acharya said.

South Korea is lucrative destination for Nepali migrant workers where an EPS employee can earns up to $ 1,000 (Rs 70,000) per month. According to EPS Nepal, South Korea has issued about 13,000 job quotas to Nepal in August including 4,375 quotas for agriculture and livestock sectors.

About 57,000 Nepali had applied for EPS TOPIK and 50,000 of them appeared in the exam.
