Death penalty for Nepali in Saudi Arabia

A Saudi Arabian court has issued death penalty against a Nepali migrant worker, Umesh Yadav, who is doing time in the Jubel-based prison for his involvement in the murder of a Pakistani national, according to a document sent by the country’s Foreign Ministry to the Nepali embassy there.

The embassy said the victim’s personal details such as his address and age and other bits of information such as which court slapped the punishment and when it would be executed were yet to be ascertained. Nepali Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Udayaraj Pandey said his office was inquiring into the matter.
