8 Nepali migrant workers rescued from Oman

Nepali Embassy in Oman on Tuesday rescued eight Nepali workers and sent them to Nepal after they were mistreated and denied promised job and salary in the Arab nation.
 
The Honesty Overseas had sent them to Oman-based Muwarad Wadi Modern Trade Company on December 26. Earlier, 11 Nepali workers were rescued from the same company.
 
According to Nepali Ambassador to Oman Sharmila Parajuli, the victims were sent to Nepal in coordination with Labour Department. The manpower arranged air-tickets for the stranded Nepalis.
 
Darika Prasad Chaudhary, Ramu Giri, Raj Kumar Tamang, Dev Bahadur BK, Gyan Bahadur Thapa, Bikram Rai, Rajendra Giri and Tejendra Rana were rescued from the company.
 
They had left for Oman to work for a scaffolding company with a promise of 120 Riyal monthly salary.
