7 Nepalis ‘arrested’ in Iraq
Seven Nepali migrant workers are reported to have been arrested in Iraq a week ago. Of the arrestees, two have been identified as Dhurba Tamang from Morang and Santosh Rai from Dhankuta while identity of the others is yet to be ascertained. Dhruba’s wife Deshkumari said the arrestees’ friends told her over telephone about the arrest. The arrestees were working in a company in Iraq since 2006.
