20 Nepalis sent home from Kuwait

The Embassy of Nepal in Kuwait sent home 20 Nepali migrant workers who were facing difficulties there. Nepali migrant workers, who had been employed at Kharafi National Company, were sent home on Saturday after holding talks with the company, according to an embassy statement. The embassy said in the statement that it had earlier sent home 17 Nepali migrants employed at the company whose resident visas had not been renewed for a long period following all due Kuwaiti immigration procedures. A total of 94 Nepali migrants working at Kharafi National Company's Sulebiya project had lodged a complaint at the embassy stating that the company did not renew their resident visas and also did not pay salary. The embassy has already sent home 29 of them, as per the statement. The embassy said it also sent home 32 others working in other projects. - HNS.
