Two Nepalis killed in Nigeria

Two Nepali nationals lost their lives in a series of bombings and gun attacks by an Islamic sect in Nigeria. Hari Prasad Bhusal and Raj Singh, whose addresses in Nepal are yet to be ascertained, are among over 180 people killed in the Friday´s deadly attacks.

A statement issued by the High Commission of India in Nigeria said that Bhusal and Singh were killed by militants when their car entered a zone of hostilities.

The Nepali duo´s co-employee, Kevalkumar Kalidas Rajput from Dahod in Gujarat, was also killed in the attack. The Nepali embassy in Egypt, which oversees Nigeria as well, has yet not issued any statement about the deaths of the two Nepali nationals.

According to Tirtha Wagle, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the Nepali embassy in Egypt has officially been asked to collect detail information about the deaths.
