Independent Democratic Confederation of Nepalese Trade Union urged the government to enforce minimum wage published in the national gazette on May 23.
The trade union has urged to implement the wage immediately. As Labour Law 1992 clause 21 (e) grant sole rights to set minimum wage to the government, the wage published in national gazette should be implemented without any delay, it said. The national gazette had published minimum wage Rs 6,200 for permanent workers and Rs 231 in daily works.
